Upcoming Brotherhood Events

The Brotherhood is leading the Friday evening Shabbat service on March 22 and is helping with the Oneg. Brotherhood will also be digging holes in early May for the Temple's new saplings (this is BYOS - Bring Your Own Shovel!) and will arrange for them to be watered regularly.

Brotherhood will be providing the food for the last Tot Shabbat of this school year on April 12 and we may resume doing this in the fall.

October 2012 Update

2012 has been a busy year so far for the Brotherhood, kicked off by the Hood's participation in the first Temple Fun In The Sun event in February at which the 'Hood had a decorated food table and offered a raffle basket.

Also, the 'Hood has spruced up the Temple property and building in conjunction with the Temple House Committee by removing dead trees and planting and maintaining new saplings, putting down mulch, and completing a variety of improvement projects at the Second Annual Temple Work Day in June.

The 'Hood attended a Lake Monsters game in August, assisted with High Holiday ushering, constructed and will take down the Sukkah, hosted a BBQ on Mt. Philo as part of Temple's Hike Against Hunger and had fun at a Brotherhood Bowling Night in October.

Brotherhood has committed up to $750 of its funds to create a Religious School Tuition Abatement Program, offering up to three scholarships to parents so they can better afford to send their children to our School.

Brotherhood dues for 2012 are $25; checks can be sent to the Temple office or to 'Hood Treasurer Bruce Hicken at 90 Hidden Pasture Road in Hinesburg, Vt 05461. For more information about Brotherhood, contact Steve Greenfield, Brotherhood President, at spgreenfield@comcast.net or 879-3132.

You do not have to be a 'Hood member to attend 'Hood events. All are welcome!"
